Sunshine Center

 So I was approached to create some artwork for the Sunshine Center in Frankfort, KY. Opened in 1982, the Sunshine Center was formed by citizens concerned with the problem of child abuse and domestic violence.  The center offers respite to at-risk parents who are in crisis and struggling with their parenthood.
Here are some photos of what I came up with.  The first is a collage of imagery incorporating the symbols of domestic violence and child abuse support (purple ribbons, blue pinwheels).  The second is a large abstract painting also incorporating the ribbons.
